Floor insulation

PUR BOARDS

  •  PUR boards deliver high thermal resistance at low thicknesses.
  •  PUR boards are only slightly absorbent (only the surface, which has no impact on board properties once it dries).
  •  PUR boards exhibit high compressive strength.
  •  PUR boards are rodent-resistant.
  •  PUR boards exhibit sound insulation properties of dn 30 - 100 mm, and deliver 17 - 18 dB of noise dampening.

Insulating non-trafficable attic areas:

Use a suitable material for levelling the existing overhead structure that is mixed and applied per the manufacturer's specifications.

Then cover the finished surface with a layer of PUR insulation board, which must be fully supported over their entire surface area. Boards are laid in an interlaced pattern in two layers with no gaps. Joints may be filled with PUR foam.

The boards must have UV protection in the form of a special UV filter foil material.
Material laid in this manner is non-trafficable.
PUR boards should be covered with OSB boards if access is needed to check installation work. Lay two layers of boards crosswise and attach with appropriate fasteners to improve load capacity if needed.

Insulating floor structures

This type of floor is made up of a load-bearing frame that transmits the load from the standard use of the floor itself.

PUR boards function as an insert to improve the thermal properties of the structure and improve noise insulation.

  •  Lay down PUR boards for the full height of the structure.
  • Cut or trim the boards themselves to match the given structure.
  • Apply PUR foam in areas that cannot be completely filled with boards alone.

PUR BOARDS

The system is secured using a combination of adhesive and fasteners, with the former the main anchoring element and the latter an additional element or vice versa.
